Ahhhh…. Now That’s Better!!

XBOX 360 MARVEL ULTIMATE ALLIANC

After the disappointment of Naruto: Rise of a Ninja, I played Fable 2for a couple of hours until I had to leave the house.

Yesterday, instead of picking that back up and losing the rest of the evening, I picked up Marvel Ultimate Alliance again. Mostly because Xbox.com’s Deal of The Week is the Playable Hero/Villain Combo Pack. I had forgotten how much I love this game!!

My team? Storm, Ms Marvel, Elektra, and Spider Woman!  I really appreciate a game that has the opportunity for strong female leads (or at least the choice) but doesn’t dumb it down for girls.  On the other hand, my husband prefers Wolverine & Deadpool. The cross-section of available characters is amazing, although I wish that the Playable Hero/Villain Combo Pack included at least one female.

The dialog is a little canned, but I am not bored with it. The gameplay is nice and feels open. The controls are easy to figure out, although character customization took a little getting used to. The story keeps moving along and I love that you change location and the scenery doesn’t get old, before it changes.

To sum it up, this is one of the few games that I will actually finish AND PLAY AGAIN!!  That is, until Marvel Ultimate Alliance 2 is released at the end of September 2009.

Today, I picked a zipper and I should finish him up by this weekend!

Knitting? What is knitting?

Last week was sucked away by Fable II. I've been playing it every chance I've gotten, that is if Erik isn't playing on the Pink 360. I also picked up my LittleBigPlanet pre-order from Gamestop on Saturday and played it for several hours on Sunday.

Saturday was the exception. That was the Pumpkin Carving Party. I was really excited that my brother actually came by and carved pumpkins with us. Dave brought pumpkin soup. Lots and lots of fun! Erik works at a box plant, so he brought home some corrugated sheets that we covered the floor with to keep everything clean. We will definitely do that again! Gizmo even had fun in her purple monkey costume! You can see more pictures on my Flickr.

Saturday night was the MetroplexMINI Halloween party! Erik and I were Luigi and Princess Peach. He was originally going to be Mario, but he said that he was more of a Luigi-type of guy. Those pictures are also in my Flickr. We had a lot of fun... and jello shots! Thank you Martina! There was a lot of ass-hattery to be had!

Sunday consisted of mostly Fable 2 and LittleBigPlanet. Although, I did actually pick up my Vomit Shawl and work on it while I was catching up of three weeks of Grey's Anatomy!

It's That Time Again...

It's time for Nascar in Texas!!! My awesome Mom made sure we scored free tickets again this year!! I will be at the Dickies 500 with my knitting and Erik! You can barely tell from the picture, but that is one of the promo cars' semi truck.

I have had a crappy day week, so I decided to pick up a new game. I have been wanting to try out one of the Katamari games for a while, but I forgot about them. I will use knitting as my excuse!

I got home a little early and start playing We Love Katamari... for almost 4 hours. OOPS! There is something soothing about rolling a little ball around just to make a bigger ball. I wish I knew a little more of why I was rolling this ball of crap around, but maybe that is the smartie-pants part of me talking. The only thing that it is missing is ACHIEVEMENTS!!

I would have brought home Beautiful Katamari for the 360, but Erik really wants to buy that one for me. What a sweetie!

Lots 'O' Pics

I just put a bunch of fun pics on my Flickr and I thought I would share them with you!!

First is a pic of the remnants of a salad that I ate the other day. Ok... So I was going to delete it, but it just looked kind of cool and artsy! LoL

Next, it seems that Nintendo is also knitting!!! They have come out with Gameboy MICRO Sox!!! I saw these at Toys R Us the other day and I thought they were a little plain, but very cool!

Sticking with the video game theme, I found (and bought) a PINK wireless PS2 controller!!! I found this yesterday at JRB Fort Worth while shopping with my grandfather.

Last, but no least, is the funniest thing that I have seen in a while!! It is a card that you put on your beer so it doesn't get taken away by mistake. This is from Edelweiss, a restaurant that Shannon took us for Erik's birthday.

A day off with the PS3!!

Erik and I picked up our **preordered** PS3 this morning. As soon as we got home, I hooked it up while I was on the phone with my dad. Yes, it is his, but he doesn't get it for a week. Hey! He did it to me when the Super Nintendo came out!! LoL The only game that we got was Marvel Ultimate Alliance. As you can tell, the girls wanted to play too!!!

We bought an extra controller, but it didn't come with a charging cord. Luckily enough, I noticed that it has the same ends as my camera cable. Long story short, it worked.

Well, I'm off to cook dinner for out friends that just came over to play with the new toy. BTW - Dad knows we are playing with it. At least, he is done for Christmas shopping. He is always sooooo hard to shop for!!

First things first. My yarn for Codi came in!! I am resisting casting on for this until I get past the heels of both Happy Socks. The KnitPicks Shine Worsted is beautiful, even on the ball. I can't wait to see it all knit up!! I still have to work on the Baby Brother Blanket, also. Awww.....Now for something else really cool!!! The boyfriend, a friend, and I went to the World Series of Video Games!! We were just spectators, but they still had stuff for us to do. We played a couple games of Halo 2 and I got a t-shirt for the lowest score!! Woo hoo!!! I think the guy running the match-ups was sweet on me. He he he.

Ok... I was a little off...

My hunny's quiz results!!!

I am 76% Video Game Addict.
Total Video Game Junky!
I got a problem, man. I may not find the answer to life in a video game. I
need to turn off the console or computer, go outside and try some reality for a change.

Bored at work...

So I am bored at work... Left the knitting at home (shame on me)... I will probably go get it at lunch...

I've been playing around on the internet and I found some funny stuff!!!

I am 55% Video Game Addict.
I have a Video Game Problem
Video games are a big portion of my life, maybe too big of a portion. They are not a means of social interaction, despite what I might think. I should just go outside.

I will be sure to post my sweetie's results when I get him to take the quiz!!! LoL... I am sure he will be at least 90% addict!!!
