Check out this IGN article!! I actually saw it scrolling across the bottom of G4TV first and had to get online to make sure. Although there is no 'official' statement easily found on the website, it is all over their forums.
This only applies to systems made before January 1, 2006, but if your system has been sent back for repair and it was made before then, you are supposed to get a refund of your repair cost.
